Ducati Work for Long-Term

Bologna - Ducati continues to work hard to develop and improve motor Desmosedici GP11.1. This Italian team was focusing on long-term targets that they want to achieve. Desmosedici GP11.1 series is the revision of the series released earlier this season. GP11.1 began worn by Valentino Rossi in MotoGP Netherlands. Until now, GP11.1 still continue to be refined to be more competitive.Passing the test at Brno on Monday (8/15/2011) ago, Ducati hopes to create a better bike. Not just for this season only, but also for the future. "The changes we made ??during this weekend at Brno matured to create a faster bike for the race," said General Director of Ducati, Filippo Preziosi, at the official MotoGP website. "Now, we are working for medium and long term by setting targets for the designer in making motors new generation," he added. Preziosi admitted that GP11.1 still not working in line with expectations. However, he says, it's a normal thing. "We know that introducing a new motor in the middle of the championships usually produce poorer performance in the short term in some series. You have to accept it because it's normal," says Preziosi. "But, if you had a small advantage, you can pick and defend it. That's important for motor development next year, "he said. (MFI / Roz)
